Levels of Activity

We classify our tours according to the level of difficulty of each stretch and to how much effort you would want to make on a daily basis. We want you to feel entirely satisfied at the end of every day, without feeling too tired due to the distances, ground level or weather conditions. Thus, our classification system will help you pick the tours that best match your capabilities and your wishes.

We have five levels of activity: Easygoing, Moderate, Challenging, Pro and Enduro. This classification is based on a combination between distance, the difference in elevations, the altitude,technical skills and the exposure to climate conditions.

01. Easygoing

  • MTB daily distances: 12-18 mil (20-30 km) along secondary roads (gravel and pavement).

  • Daily distances with road bikes / hybrid bikes: 22-28 mil (35-45 km) along paved roads.

  • Hiking daily distances: 3-5 mil ( 5-8 km) along trails in forests and valleys.

  • Overall, our hiking tours take place on flat land and sometimes on rolling terrains.

  • Ascents and descents, if any, are very mild and not too long.

  • Activity: 1-3 hours per day.

  • Type of Traveler: “If, in the last two months, you have been riding your bike two hours per week or you have run half and hour per week, or you have actively walked three hours per week, this is the type of tour for you”.

02. Moderate

  • MTB daily distances: 18-25 mil ( 30-40 km) along secondary roads (gravel and

  • Daily distances with road bikes / hybrid bikes: 28-34 mil (45-55 km) along paved roads.

  • Hiking daily distances: 4-6 mil (6-10 km) along trails in forests and valleys.

  • Overall, our tours take place on flat and rolling terrain. There are ascents and descents, but they are mild and not too long.

  • Activity: 2-5 hours per day.

  • Type of Traveler: “If, in the last two months, you have been riding your bike two hours and a half per week or you have run one hour per week, or actively walked four hours per week, this is the type of tour for you”.

03. Challenging

  • MTB daily distances: 25-30 mil (40-50 km), mostly on secondary roads (gravel or earth). In some of the tours, we will also come across some exciting trails

  • Daily distances with road bikes: 34-40 mil (55-65 km)along paved roads.

  • Hiking daily distances: 6-10 mil (10-16 km) along wild, rough mountains with irregular ground.

  • Tours take place on rolling terrain with several ascents and descents with a variety of slopes and extensions.

  • Activity: 4-6 hours per day.

  • Type of Traveler: “If, in the last two months, you have been riding your bike two hours and a half per week or you have run one hour per week, or actively walked four hours per week, this is the type of tour for you”.

    • Biking: “If in the last two months you have pedaled four hours per week, this is the type of tour for you”.

    • Hiking: “If in the last two months you have run one hour and a half per week, or you have walked with differences in elevation six hours per week, this is the type of tour for you".

04. Pro

  • MTB daily distances: 30 mil (50 km ) or more, on secondary roads (gravel or earth). In some of the tours, we will also come across exciting singletrails that may require some degree of technical skill.

  • Daily distances with road bikes: 40 mil ( 65 km) or more, on paved roads.

  • Hiking daily distances: 8-12 mil (14- 20 km) along mountain trails, some of them quite far away and with almost no traffic.

  • Tours cover rolling terrains, where we will come across challenging ascents and descents, some of them very uneven.

  • As these are unsheltered places, we will have a higher exposure to weather conditions.

  • Activity: 5-8 + hours.

  • Type of Traveler: “If, in the last two months, you have been riding your bike two hours and a half per week or you have run one hour per week, or actively walked four hours per week, this is the type of tour for you”.

    • Biking: “If in the last two months you have pedaled six hours per week, this is the type of tour for you”.

    • Hiking: “If in the last two months you have run two hours per week, or you have walked with differences in elevation eight hours per week, this is the type of tour for you".

05. Enduro

  • Mtb (hardtail and fullsuspension) bike on shoulder and a lot of walking with the bike, we will also come across exciting singletracks that require good technical skills. 

  • Hiking daily distances: 8-12 mil (14-20 km) along mountain trails, some of them quite far away and with almost no traffic.

  • Activity: 6-9 + hours.

  • Tours cover rolling terrains, where we will come across challenging ascents and descents, some of them very uneven.

  • As these are unsheltered places, we will have a higher exposure to weather conditions.

  • Activity can be done during the night time.
